How to rent a WARDOGS server
Renting a WARDOGS server is not like renting a Rust or ARK box. BULKHEAD decides who can host, and in the three days before launch it named the companies allowed to: QONZER, BisectHosting and xREALM. This is what the rules are, what you get, and what to check before paying.
What BULKHEAD has said
On 29 August 2026 the official WARDOGS account posted a thread after noticing hosting companies selling WARDOGS server pre-orders. The main points: those companies do not have the game or the server code. At launch, exactly two hosting companies will be able to rent WARDOGS servers to individuals. Both passed a performance test that has been running with players since April. Others are "in the pipeline". The server code will not be released publicly, so there is no self-hosting.
That thread did not name the companies. On 7 September the same account named QONZER and BisectHosting, and on 8 September it added xREALM. All three now deliver servers within minutes when a location is in stock. Prices and regions are on their pages and compared on our hosting page.
What you are renting
A 60, 80 or 100-player, three-team server. BULKHEAD says community servers have to perform like official ones, which is the whole reason for the approval process. All three approved hosts sell those three tiers and nothing smaller.
QONZER lists 60, 80 and 100 slots at £49.95, £59.95 and £69.95 a month, with a 7-day money-back guarantee and billing that starts at game release. xREALM charges £64.99, £73.99 and £105.99 with no refund beyond the legal minimum. BisectHosting charges £71.99, £83.99 and £95.99 with a 3-day money-back guarantee for new customers. Ignore prices on any other hosting page; those companies do not have the server files.
When rental opens
Rental is open at both hosts. When you order:
- Pick the region nearest most of your players. Regions reported for official servers so far: Virginia, Oregon, Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Seoul and Sydney. Stock is thin: on 8 September QONZER had Frankfurt, London, Dallas, Washington DC and Tokyo sold out, BisectHosting had every European location except London sold out, and xREALM's Asia region was unavailable. Check stock before you settle on a name.
- Put region, language and ruleset in the server name, e.g. "[EU] WARDOGS UK | New players welcome". The in-game browser filters by region; everything else players have to read from the name.
- Have your Discord and a short rules page ready before you pay. Set the RCON password in the host panel on day one so your admins can kick, ban and change map from outside the game.
- List the server here so people searching for a server in your region find you before they open the game.
Before you pay for anything
Four questions to ask a provider in writing:
- Are you QONZER, BisectHosting or xREALM? Those are the only three hosts BULKHEAD has approved.
- Do you have the server files today? Per BULKHEAD, only the approved hosts should.
- Is the location in stock right now, and what are the refund terms if the server does not come up?
- Does your page describe a "dedicated server download" or self-hosting? That contradicts the developer.
What would change this page
A price change at any host, a fourth approved host, and the RCON tool shipping. When any of those happen we update this guide and change the date at the top.

Questions
Can I host a WARDOGS server myself?
No. BULKHEAD has said it will not release the server code, for performance and security reasons. Renting from an approved host is the only option.
How much does a WARDOGS server cost?
For 60, 80 or 100 slots: QONZER £49.95, £59.95 or £69.95 a month; xREALM £64.99, £73.99 or £105.99; BisectHosting £71.99, £83.99 or £95.99. QONZER and BisectHosting discount quarterly, half-year and annual billing.
Which hosting companies are approved for WARDOGS?
QONZER, BisectHosting and xREALM. BULKHEAD named the first two on 7 September 2026 and added xREALM on 8 September, with more "in the pipeline".
