WARDOGS server regions

Ping matters more in a 100-player game with vehicles than in a 5v5 shooter. This is where WARDOGS servers are, what the in-game browser calls the zones, and how to choose a region for a community server.

Official zones in the browser

The in-game browser sorts servers into zones: EU West, EU Central, EU East and EU South; NA East, NA Central, NA West and NA North; South America; Oceania; and Asia East, Asia Southeast and Asia West. Our stats page shows how many servers and players each zone has right now. Reported hub locations behind them are Virginia and Oregon for North America, Frankfurt, London and Amsterdam for Europe, Tokyo and Seoul for Asia, and Sydney for Oceania; BULKHEAD has not published that list itself.

South America and Oceania have official servers but far fewer than Europe and North America, and Asia Southeast has sometimes shown no servers at all. If you play from there, a community server in the nearest zone is often the better bet.

Where communities are setting up

Community servers are mostly European: English, German, French, Czech, Ukrainian, Polish and Italian groups. There are a growing number in North America East and West, and a handful each in Oceania, Asia and South America. Our directory lists them by region and by language.

Choosing a region for your server

Pick the location nearest the middle of your player base, not nearest you. A UK community with a lot of Polish players is better off on Frankfurt or Amsterdam than London. If you are split across two regions, run one server and rotate rather than splitting a small population.

For Oceania and Asia the choice is narrower. QONZER and BisectHosting both list Sydney and Singapore; QONZER also lists Tokyo, and BisectHosting lists Mumbai and Hong Kong when in stock. xREALM sells an Asia region that was unavailable on 8 September and nothing in Oceania.
